CMLL Line - 11/20/01 Competitors Key:
Rating: Bases on the quality of the finish, ring work, internal/external storyline, consistency and my whims. Also, various other (random) factors that I can't think of right now. 0-100 for matches, ++ for extremely good skit, + for really good skit, - for really bad skit, -- for extremely bad skit. Momentum Key: A number indicate that side is in control, E is for even, M is for Mixed, * for Interference
Match By Match: First Match: I guess this is Jalisco's last match with that match/name, or otherwise they're just weird. Lizmark's outfit looks very "Spiderman as played by Vampiro." And then he does crotch chops. V3 did a mat hold with the head and left arm scissored between his legs and the free armbarred and cranked on - I just guessed. Wagner untied Lizmark's mask in the second fall and Jalisco almost broke it up but was asked not too. Eventually, Wagner prevented a top rope move by simply pulling off the match - and earning a DQ. He was proud of himself at any rate. Second Match: Shocker has a cool top hat for some reason - and he pulls that Animal doll out of it! If he was really a magician, he'd make the Guapos disappear. His magic act gets a beating, Emilio whipping Shocker up with the doll. Scorpio blatantly came back in to reverse the victory roll but that rudo ref let it go. The ref moved onto helping the Guapos by the end of the second fall (and ignoring a low blow on Shocker) so Apolo had enough. Apolo invited a girl in the ring after the match and Emilio's girlfriend was very angry about it and I have no idea what's going on there now but I fear it's leading to a match. Third Match: Being a tecinco isn't fun, glory and beating up Black Tiger all the time, Black Warrior found out. Then again, perhaps it's better to fight with Super Porky and Giant Silva than against them. Fourth Match: Juvie and Fuerza did their kiss (on the lips) and we got a replay of it, nice. Clipping in the second fall was kinda obvious. After taking Rey's armdrag into a spinning headscissors to the floor, Juvie did the RVD thump point, then Rey took him down with a from the apron 'rana. Nicho really blew a rope flip moonsault to the outside, kicking Atlantis in the head and landing hard on the apron. Rey did his "I'm running and someone tossed me, but I still can 'rana this other guy while I'm hanging around" spot. Nicho took a sunset flip powerbomb to the floor from Santo as the next spot and was down holding his neck (not the first this match), but it appeared his back took most of the fall. In fall one and two, I'm guessing at finishes because they happened while we were looking at out carnage. Nicho spent the time between the falls and some more on the floor being attentive by doctors, but did rejoin the fight. Fuereza slapped Juvie and yelled at him after a botched double team move caused Juvie to hit Fuereza. Black Tiger helped repair things. Rey later hit Juvie in the face with a slingshot legdrop and Juvie kinda walked out of the match to regroup. Nicho ran into a Casas boot on to straight corner charges, so of course he goes for a third. Casas moves and Nicho flies by, hitting the post, falling to the floor, and then Casas hits a Thesz press on him on the floor. Fuerza did something similar and got his by a Santo tope. Rey his the reverse 'rana on Tiger again. Post match, Nicho promised to bring his Tijuana family to Arena Mexico for revenge - Halloween's name specifically mentioned. Closing Notes: 1. I'm tired so this report isn't probably as good and I'm probably
