AN OPINION ABOUT WOMEN AND WRESTLING

I have been watching wrestling for over half my life and I love it! But I have noticed something that has been bothering me. Where are the women commentators? Don't women watch wrestling? Don't women have an opinion? (I know I do about a lot of things) Don't women like sweaty, rippling muscles? Big, built, hard bodies in tight pants or speedos? I do!

Or is it, that the behind the scenes forces think that women are un- able to handle being around the men? Or perhaps they do not believe that women are able to call a match? I think it would be great to sit with Jim Ross and Paul Heyman to call a match! It isn't hard to call a Big Show Choke Slam, a Rhyno Gore, a Booker T Spinaroonie, Rock's The People's Elbow, a Spike Dudley Dudley Dog, a Hardy Twist of Fate, a Tazzmition, HHH's Pedigree (one of my favorite), ect. Do you get it? Women can call matches!

And as I tried to think of what to say along comes WWF Excess with Trish Stratus. What can I say? Eye candy. Not much substance. My daughter asks better questions during wrestling, and she's five. Trish, I think, would be better off being the eye candy she was hired to be- like

Stacy Keibler and Tori Wilson. Get Someone on Excess that can ask questions! Although, Trish does a great job admiring the wrestlers and stroking their ego on camera.

Remember, this is just one womans opinion. I do believe that there is something for everyone in wrestling. My husband and I watch together whenever we can and we do not miss a show! Our kids are not big fans, but hopefully that will change as they get older. I just think that a woman at the announcers table would be a nice change. She might have something to contribute. You never know.
