SHARON'S EDGE

Greetings, sports entertainment fans! Welcome again to my little corner of the wrestling world. Once again, RAW rocked the place with the teaming of Y2J & Al Snow, Test & Kane and new stipulations to the main event at Armageddon. But I'm getting ahead of myself-let's start with Heat: I don't know what's up with the Posse that they would want to start a feud with the Acolytes. I love the Acolytes-they're rude, raw and brutal. In my humble opinion, teaming up Farooq with Bradshaw was one of the best ideas the WWF ever had! And I enjoy their bar fights almost as much as I enjoy them in the ring- I look forward to them crushing the New Age Outlaws to take those belts back! And geez, did you see how high Mark Henry threw Taka?

I'm not a big Godfather fan-that finishing move has to be the second dumbest move in sports entertainment. In the time it takes him to get that chug chug movement going-his opponent could easily  move out of the way. Well, let's face it-the man exists purely to bring half naked women to the ring. I mean, he does get booed when he comes out by himself! It's sad-I find myself missing Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine. Anyway--the best part of Heat, besides the Taka/Kaientai match, was the dismantling of the Posse at the hands of the Acolytes! Now onto RAW- first of all, I have to hand it to Steph for going into DX's locker room alone-I would've taken Paul Wight with me! (I'm sure HHH would've signed those papers then!)

Of course, Xpac had to be obnoxious as usual. When he suggested Steph join the New Age Outlaws in the shower, I wanted to tell her that they wouldn't want to be disturbed. I was truly in agreement with HHH, for once, what the hell was up with the fans (in Anaheim, anyway) calling Steph names like slut and whore? How is it this wedding debacle ends up being her fault? She was drugged, by a guy who still gets cheers nonetheless!! I don't get it! Well, I have to admit this is the most I've ever enjoyed HHH-he's very funny and charmingly naughty! I can't believe I just used the word 'naughty'. Anyway, I'm glad that whole Rock threw your book away angle was ended-I knew he didn't do it! Although I would've believed the culprit to be Val Venis but since his heel turn generated zero heat, it's Al, who's getting a hell of a lot more crowd reaction since going after the Rock!

The Test/Kane vs. HHH/Xpac match was great! I just wish Tori would stay out of the ring-this damsel in distress angle is getting very old. Not too long ago, this woman was in pursuit of the women's title belt. I guess since falling in love, she's put her dreams aside to accompany her man to the ring. And get attacked so her man can be too distracted to actually win his matches-great work, Tori! *Thumbs up* I don't think anyone was screaming as loudly as I when Kane caught Xpac mid bronco buster and threw him down!!! Get him Kane!!! I tell you this-if Tori turns her back on Kane at Armageddon-I'm going to Stamford with a bag of nickels! I'm not sure who I'd hit first-probably Xpac.

Anyway-the teaming of Al Snow and Chris Jericho was great! Although, crazy me-when Al assumed the position, the first person I thought of was Tommy Dreamer! I thought for a minute there, ECW was invading the WWF again! Oh well...I guess this is Y2J's first step toward main event status and it was great until the inevitable run-in! Oh and I must make mention of the Big Show/Viscera match-damn! When Big Vis (as he's called now) slammed Paul Wight through the table backstage-WOW!! Then when they took it to the ring-that Samoan backdrop by Vis was impressive! I'd thought for a minute there Big Vis was getting that belt! OK this weekend is Armageddon-allow some predictions and random thoughts:

Kurt Angle vs. Steve Blackman- OK, so Kurt is a real athlete and he's been undefeated so far.He still does nothing for me. Just who is the face in this match? Who am I supposed to be rooting for? Just for the hell of it, I'll say Blackman because he never seems to get over no matter how impressive he is. If Kurt loses, this could start a real feud and maybe get Blackman over.

The Hollys vs. Rikishi Fatu & Viscera-OH my God! The Hollys are going to be squashed as flat as pancakes! A battle of the Super Heavyweights? Strictly in the Hollys' minds.

Battle Tag Team Royal: Edge & Christian vs. Too Cool vs. Dudleys vs. Hardys vs.Acolytes vs. Headbangers vs. Mean Street Posse: WOW! I'm waving my 2Blonde flag! (That's my name for Edge & Christian) But looking at all these teams, I hope they can make it!

Val Venis vs. British Bulldog- I was really disappointed to see D'lo lose his chance to compete for the Euro belt and I'm not much of a fan of either of these guys. But just on the basis of raw strength, I'll go with Davey Boy.

Ivory vs. BB vs. Jackie vs. Miss Kitty (4 corners evening gown match): Hi my name is BB and I was so humiliated at getting my shirt ripped off that I've decided I want to face a professional so I can get stripped  down to my panties too! That'll show her! (Gee, Vince, must we titillate the male viewers? Why is it the only tuxedo match we've had consisted of Howard Finkel? In light of the wedding sham, I propose a Test/HHH tuxedo match!! Prid pro quo!!!) Is this a title match, by the way? I'll predict Ivory as the winner and BB's bra will once again be too small. Poor Jacky & Ivory, I guess the only way to get the crowd's attention is if you're blonde and spilling out of your dress. Go get some peroxide, girls!

Xpac vs. Kane- You know Kane used to be invincible but now that he's been tamed-he just gets beat up all the time now!! Feelings have made him weak or so it seems. I can't believe a lightweight like Xpuke can knock him down with those spinning heel kicks! As much as I'm praying for total annihilation, I just know DX is going to interfere in this match, possibly using Tori and denying us the sight of a broken battered Xpuke at Kane's feet. I really don't see a clean ending to this so I'll just hang my head and mumble 'Xpac wins'.

Chyna vs. Chris Jericho- I'm a big Chyna mark but I just know she's dropping the belt this Sunday. After all she and Chris have done to each other-he's going to put her in the walls of Jericho and that'll be it! I still think it would be cool if he kissed her at the end of the match!

New Age Outlaws vs. Rock & Sock- The rule of thumb is usually if you keep getting jumped on the tv show, you get your revenge at the PPV. We keep seeing NAO run in Rock's or Mick's matches to jump them-I only hope this means that Rock & Sock will win. But I don't want to see them hold the belts long-lose them on RAW the next night to Edge & Christian-that would be sweet! I'm voting for Rock & Sock!

Big Show vs. BBM- Big Boss Man is waaay overdue for a chokeslam to Hell and I really hope to see him get it this weekend. But I can't help but think the Undertaker will make his return at Armageddon-not because he's on the poster (he was on the Unforgiven one too!) but because of what he said to Big Show about them 'causing Armmageddon' not to mention with all the vile things BBM has done to Paul, this may finally bring out that killer instinct UT was looking for. Remember BBM got sacrificed by UT? Think he's working fir him now? I do.

And finally the main event-Vince vs. HHH: well, in light of everything that's come to pass, there's an awful lot running on this match. You've got the annullment, a title shot and a no holds barred, falls count anywhere stip going on-I was surprised HHH didn't throw in a forced honeymoon. I'm really at a loss with this match-it could go either way. I'll say Vince because everyone wants a happy ending.

Well that's it from me this week! Take care and we'll check next week to see if I'm good at predictions!

     Until next time, dear readers,
Sharon
