Greetings, sports entertainment fans! Before I get started, I send a big shout out to my girls Rebecca, Jen & Heather; I've read about your wrestling exploits and wish I could've been there!! And a big hug to Rebecca, who's going through a little rough patch right now... Keep your head up, girl......

Okay, I've been lazy, not enough to actually stop watching wrestling (hey, I'm a bit obsessed I admit it) but just enough to not write. A lot's happened in my absence; this has been some time for wrestling fans, eh? If you're a regular reader of my Edge, you know I'm an ECW mark so it's with mixed feelings that I read about the various signings to other feds. On one hand, I really hate to see Paul E. lose his talent but on the other hand, these guys (and girls) NEED to make a living so who am I to question their decisions? Then again, WWF, I HAVE to take issue with the talent you signed! Justin Credible???? I like Justin but he just doesn't strike me as someone who'd get me to buy a ticket! Rhino??WTF??? I like the big guy but again, he's not the first guy I think of when I want to watch wrestling!

What about him, what about Nova?? Actually I heard on the LAW that the WWF & Nova have been playing phone tag so I'm hoping this will lead to him signing with them, he'd make a great addition to the lightweight division. Now Jerry Lynn and Tajiri? That's talent! I just hope Tajiri doesn't end up in Kaientai, doing the bad dubbing thing and jobbing to everyone! I'd love to see Tajiri face Taka!! And I'm with Rebecca, a Jerry Lynn-Chris Benoit or Lynn-Jericho match would be a lovely sight to see! Then again, I think of the WWF undercard who really aren't doing anything and wonder what's going to happen to them. I guess we got an inkling when J.R. put a note in his column about upcoming roster cuts. I'm almost willing to bet seeing Lo Down (and Tiger) on that list, it's sad to see D'Lo and Chazz become such jokes. I'm thinking Billy Gunn has friends in high places otherwise he'd be cut for sure!! Too bad the WWF can't bring in Joey Styles to replace J.R., who seems to be suffereing from weird vision-I mean mistaking Jericho for Benoit???? He and Lillian Garcia must be having a contest over who can screw up the most!

I read that Kid Kash is on his way to WCW-he'd be great in the cruiserweight division, the ONLY reason I watch WCW. Yes, I've abandoned the 'WCW Sucks' bandwagon. They've got some very talented guys on their roster, mostly in the undercard. I see Shane Helms suffers from Matt Hardy syndrome-the more talented member of a tag team being overshadowed by the more colorful high-flying one. Nothing against Shannon or Jeff, but both Matt & Shane are very talented and don't deserve to be ignored. I got some strong heel vibes from Shane too, despite being screwed by heel Chavo. I also hear Steve Corino is going to WCW which would be a perfect fit-the Old School Hero.

I was surprised by the releasing of the various women of WCW but even more surprised by who they kept-Midajah, Stacy and Miss Jones???? Kwee Wee just doesn't look the same without Paisley and neither does (it pains me to say this, it REALLY does) Rey without Tygress. I don't think Team Canada will miss Major Gunns but Midajah??? That goes in the W*T*F category with Rhino getting signed. I like the addition of Mike Awesome to Team Canada, although ANYTHING would've been better than that 70's guy! I also like Elix Skipper, he's got some great moves; and of course Lance Storm rules! 'If I could just be serious for a moment'-I'm happy to see this move working for him.

So we have this PPV coming up and I think they've done a great job with the buildup for the main events-HHH/Austin and Kurt/Rock. Everyone's so intense-Kurt's smug interviews and Rock's emphatic ones really play off well against each other. Everyone seems to betting the farm Rock will walk away the champ but allow me to say what a better reason to swerve. I love the Rock and appreciate his wanting the belt but he really is bigger than the belt! Come on, people chant his name regardless! I have to agree with my compadre Rebecca here, having the belt does nothing for the Rock nor does he do anything for it.

Besides he'll be going off to do a movie soon, why bother putting the belt on him? They've already done that with Test-the European champ! We've seen Regal more than we see Test-why didn't they just let Regal keep it? I know he has an injury so what a better time to invoke that 30 day rule of not defending.? Hey! Come to think of it, Steph barely defended the women's belt when she had it!

You know speaking of Steph, I love her going after Trish! It's a bit of a guilty pleasure. I could do without Trish bending over in front of Vince but I love Steph asserting herself as 'the dominant female of the WWF'. I have to admit that's one match I'm looking forward to, I only wish Shane would show up to throw a wrench in what's happening with Linda! He presented himself as siding with his mother in the last McMahon showdown, why isn't he doing something to help her? Well, I'm crossing my fingers he'll appear at the PPV. I miss him!

I'm not a big fan of HHH or Stone Cold but I like the way this rivalry has escalated, I'm looking forward to their match though I can't imagine how the payoff will match the heat. Whatever, I'm sure it'll be good. Steve's been really working hard-I've really enjoyed his matches with Kurt and Benoit! Rebecca has converted me to the wonder that is Chris Benoit. I've even had little lust moments but it's mostly his technique and heel-ness I admire. I'm sorry to see him thrown into this IC match, he certainly deserves a lot more. Oh well, aside from the inclusion of Xpac, I'm sure this will be a good match.

So...THAT KISS...I was sitting with my mouth agog until I received a phone call from a hyperventilating Rebecca (and Jen). I'm of two minds of this -I'd hate to see the Hardys split up, especially over the cliché of a woman; but then I remember their hardcore match and think Hardys mano a mano would be a good thing. Be nice to build it up to culminate at Wrestlemania but no doubt it'll happen at No Way Out. Whatever-it'll be good! If they do turn Matt heel, I can't imagine Lita staying with him, not with the face pops she gets. I guess she'll stay a face by trying to get the brothers to be friends again.
