JERKIN THE CURTAIN

Not three weeks ago Y2J Chris Jericho was in the main event of a Pay-Per-View competing for the WWF world title. The end of the match was extremely disjointed and I'm not really sure that what happened in the end was what was supposed to happen or not. Regardless since that time Jericho has been relegated to his curtain jerking status once again. He has sunk to tag teaming with Spike Dudley in the first match of the card. Even if it is for the tag team titles is this really what he deserves?

Maybe he will eventually be the focus of the mole story line, but how will that really help him? So he can get his ass whipped by all the WWF jobbers at once? What's the point I mean if they wait long enough they can all face him individually and get put over in the opening match. I guess my point is that with Benoit hurt there is a serious lack of big pop faces in the WWF. Why would you want to degrade his value in minor feud when if the Undertaker goes down with an injury then Jericho's it man, he's all you got. He should be somehow involved in messing with Angle, and Austin getting under their skin. An Angle Jericho feud would at least keep him near the main event status that I believe he has earned. But I digress.

I must commend the WWF/WCW writers for making a big comeback on Smack down, from the invasion angle standpoint. I felt that they did much better booking on the matches, and worked toward increasing the value of the stars involved. Booker actually seemed to get a pretty good pop from the crowd at the end of his match and with his subsequent beat down of Angle. The melee in the back with the Undertaker added some depth and ruthlessness to other WCW characters, and the Shane beat down was unexpected and added and interesting twist to the scenario. It should be fun on RAW to see how they progress this angle.

Billy Kidman winning the Cruiserweight belt was probably a good idea as well. He's a much bigger name and seeing him and X-Pac go at it will be much more marketable.

Well that's about it for me for today. You'll here (hear? - CRZ) from me again on Tuesday whether you want to or not. SEE YAA.
