NATE'S THOUGHTS

Hi, wrestling fans. Nate here with another round of completely 1 sided opinions for your enjoyment.

I want to start off this week by saying thanks to those of you who e-mailed me last week. Whether you agree or disagree with my opinions, your e-mails at least let me know that someone is reading this crap.

Well, let's get on with it. This week I am not going to talk about the invasion, because quite frankly, I'm sick of it. I also will not be discussing the legal problems concerning ECW logos and bankruptcy courts and all that shit because I'm not a lawyer. Plus, I think VKM knows what he's doing. I seriously doubt he became a billionaire by being a moron.

What I am going to talk about is something that is sure to bring me a lot of e-mails. Wrestlers. The guys who sweat and bleed and break bones to make all of this possible. I am going to list some of the top guys and give my opinion on them. Remember, these are my personal opinions and in no way reflect the opinions of any one else. So, without further ado...

Let's start at the "top", shall we? Stone Cold Steve Austin. Is anybody else bored with this guy? In a federation with so much talent, why does he get to be Superman. This character has always been billed as the toughest S.O.B. in the WWF and doesn't trust anybody and always stands alone, etc., etc. Fine, I'm okay with that, but this past Monday was just ridiculous. Exactly how many asses did he kick at the end of the show anyway? The entire EWCW roster? Give me a fuckin' break! How does it make your other 4 top guys look when they're getting their guts stomped out and 1 redneck saves them all? Why even bother to put them on the WWF team Sunday, Austin obviously doesn't need them!

Speaking of the other 4, let's talk about Chris Jericho. In my opinion, this guy is it. Not only is his in-ring work the stuff legends are made of, but he is unequalled on the mic. It seems like he gets better every week. He was funny in WCW, with gags like Ralphus and the midget Goldberg, but he is absolutely hilarious. Especially when he works with Stephanie McMahon. Even though she misses almost every cue and looks like she's reading her lines off the palm of her hand. Hopefully she will learn something from Y2J. I would like to see VKM resurrect The 4 Horseman and make Jericho one of them.

On that note, next on my list is Chris Benoit, the second member of my dream horseman for the future. His mic skills may leave something to be desired, but he is arguably the best technical wrestler in the business. My only concern is that if he keeps bumping the way he does, he'll end up like Mick Foley and injure himself right out of the ring way to soon. Properly pushed, there is no limit to what he might do.

The Rock, awesome to this point, but I don't see him as part of Pro Wrestlings future, and I don't blame him a bit. Why risk serious injury night after night when Hollywood is throwing bags of money at you. I think we will see the Rock at the movie theatre long after we stop seeing him in the ring.

Everyone knows I'm an Undertaker mark, so I won't bore you with a long paragraph about why. I'll just say he's the coolest sumbitch in the business and leave it at that.

When Kane first hit the WWF(as Kane, not fake Diesel or the Dentist), I was quick to say "this sucks". But over time, I have grown to love Kane. I think Glen Jacobs has done an incredible job developing and selling this unholy monster of a character At one time, there were rumors of unmasking Kane, I for one would hate to see that. If you unmask a monster, he becomes a person, and that would ruin Kane's character.

As I'm writing this, I'm sitting here watching Smackdown. I'm looking at all the ECWCW personnel in the ring and there's something that really bothers me. Booker T. is standing there holding both the U.S. title and the WCW title, ad he deserves neither. All the time, he's surrounded by talented wrestlers who have no belt at all. Not only should this loser have no belts, he shouldn't even be in the building. If I was a promoter, I wouldn't even sell this jerk tickets to the show. One more thing, do something with that hair!

Okay, ECW fans, get ready to write me your hate mail. First off, I love Lance Storm, whenever he appears, I have a chance to go take a piss, or fix a sandwich, or just zone out for a while. To put it plain and simple, he SUCKS! Mike Awesome, Lance Storm but bigger. In fact, with the exception of RVD and Tazz, I think their whole roster is kind of a drag. Don't get me wrong, these guys have more ring skill than most of WWF and WCW's rosters, but their characters just don't impress me.

At this moment, I'm watching Y2J vs DDP. If Jericho has to job to this piece of garbage, I'm gonna lose my mind. DDP is washed up and wasn't worth a shit to begin with. Nuff said. On that note, I'm done. I know I have overlooked some people that deserve recognition, but you knw what they say, "always leave 'em wanting more". See ya next week!
