STICK IT Anarchy Rules Thoughts! I have made two weeks, and I'm very happy that CRZ let me have a tiny tiny spot. Hopefully I'll be able to improve my columns drastically in the coming weeks. I've writen for a site in the past (no plug, too lazy to get a link) and I have a nasty habit of not doing columns regularly, let's hope that changes. Oh yea, guess if you want to you could send some mail, I don't care what, send away. I'll reply to anything I get (can you tell I'm bored out of my mind), so, yea, send stuff. PPV Review: ECW Anarchy Rules 99 I had work the evening of the show, but I still ordered it and taped it for view earlier this week and WOW! (not a plug for the mag of course) what a show. Lynn and Storm was a great opener but I'm a little surprised Lance won, not that this makes me angry, just surprised. Either one of these two would be great to be the one to beat RVD down the road. A tiny break for the review: Hey!!! Taz can't leave yet......he had to put RVD over for the belt, not Awesome. Why did he have to do this? So Lynn, Storm, Credible, or anyone else (i'll even say give it to Doring!!! Give it to Danny DORING!!!) I can't take Mr. PPV BHS SST TNN RVD (Mister Pay Per View Big High Spots Same Six Things The Nashville Network Rob VanDamn) with the TV Belt. He's already the F'N show. I guess he will get a push up to the World Title eventually And now back to the review: next was the big smoking cluster**** featuring three of my favs: Nova, Chetti and Doring. Sadly, Chetti hurt himself on a moonsault so he had to go. Then everything went to hell. Everyone I didn't know the names of comes in to get killed by New Jack. This is GOOD! why is it GOOD! because Mr. Jack isn't wrestling and not wrestling New Jack is a watchable New Jack. Match 3? was the three way dance version 1.0 Internation Edition: SuperCrazy vs Little Guido vs Tajiri and his Feet: I'll just come clean and say I haven't watched this in full, but the Camel Clutch/Boston Crab by Crazy and Guido was about as great as it gets for me (......right now i will tell you, i don't get any Japanese tapes, so i guess i haven't seen the greatness of all that stuff). Tajiri did all those kicks me and my friends loves and wish Secrets of Pro Wrestling had discussed. Guido get eleminated and it's ok, and we get a nice little Crazy vs Tajiri match with "The Real Lightningfoot" getting the win with a brainbuster. I just love when matches end with moves like that.... Justin Credible's push continues. I don't mind Justin that much, really, his matches aren't that bad when he's in with the right guy. And if anything, he's a pure heel which is something ECW needs. He beat Sabu, which is a rare thing, I've only seen Sabu job to Taz during the last year. I say good, this win for Justin was needed to move him up another notch. Sabu can do jobs and still be over as all hell with the fans, he's Sabu, it's just how it is. I give some credit to Credible for blading (if he did blade) like he did during that match. Basic storyline was Sabu was going to kill him, so the blood was a nice added touch. Some nice moves and a ok pace, good match. Next up was the Three Way Dance version 1.5 Hardcore Edition: Orginally just Masato Tanaka vs Zat....err, Taz, we were treated to Taz and Paul E. trading the F-word back and forth and Mike Awesome entering the match. After about say four or five mins, both men pinned Taz! see, you had to have both of them pin Taz so he still looks kinda invincible. From there Tanaka and Awesome redid there Heatwave 98 match and then some! These guys give new meaning to the catch pharse "if you want some, come get some, you dont' like me, bite me" ok maybe they don't have anything to do with it! But this still was incredible, Mike powerbombed Tanaka over the top through a table, hit him directly in the head with a chair a few times and finally won with the frog splash, not five stars like RVD's but you get the picture, it's like Bradshaw doing one. Great moment with Taz handing the belt to Mike, congrats to him, as this marked a new era in ECW. Tag Title Match was next up. Ya see, ICP was spossed to face Dreamer and Raven, but they decided they can't lose and backed out (odd how the next night, Shaggy lost to Lenny, gee, guess they don't mind losing at all). So Corino and "Rookie Monster" Rhino took on The Crippled Connection (Dreamer and Raven), someone Corino and Rhino still couldn't win. Yes, Steve is a GREAT! heel, but let the guy get the win over Tommy before he gets healthy, he needs it, I need it. Dreamer and Raven it DDTs for the win. I believe next was the most unlikely main event in the history of Wrestling! I mean ALL OF WRESTLING, this is sence the dawn of time! this is the oddest main event ever! ECW shows they have balls by putting by putting Balls in the main event, man, that takes.....guts. They threw him in vs RVD because I guess Johnny Smith just wasn't a bigger name here for this to end the show, makes sence i guess, but i still want Smith vs VanDamn. This match was a little slow here and there, but for what it was, I enjoyed it. Balls countering the Vandamnminator by throwing the chair back was great, and the sick shot Mr. Mahoney gave RVD was well.....really sick. Rob wins of course just cause he will NEVER LOSE EVER!!!! Overall, terrific show, best PPV of 1999 ( and that's saying A LOT because Road Wild was.....utter crap! ) congrats to ECW for putting on such a great show. Once again, thanks for reading this little thing i'd like to think is a column, take care everyone Peacock freelance Mail the Author |
