BLAH

From the OMAHA CIVIC AUDITORIUM (where the doors don't need to open until 7pm when the event starts at 7:30)

Don't even BOTHER looking for my CRZ sign. I sat side-by-side with the stage on the boom cam side (which was cool because all the wrestlers who didn't leave the ring up the rampway came down by us, and we got to watch the hockey game on ESPN on one of the tech monitors!) Besides...I sent it to CRZ like a week ago anyway.

DARK MATCHES

CHUCK PALUMBO d SOME DARK MATCH GUY

BILLY GUNN d BROCK LESNAR with the Fameasser. I have the perfect gimmick for Brock...Brock Holly, father of Crash. That's the perfect description of what this guy looks like. Somebody in our row managed a "Who in the Blue Hell are You" line at Brock.

Random "Go Big Red" chant (Huskers, not Kane)

RUSS Mc WHATSHISNAME (I think) d TOMMY DREAMER - Dreamer has to job to THIS guy?!? Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck....

HEAT

THE BUCK TOOTH-ED FOOL (TEST) and EDGE in a double-countout for the Intercontinental Title

WCW CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE - TAJIRI d HURRICANE - Hurricane ACTUALLY GOT IN SOME OFFENSE! Molly even ended up in a Tarantula.

WWF EUROPEAN TITLE - BRADSHAW d KANYON

X-FACTOR d JUSTIN CREDIBLE & RAVEN

Rope change, Shill Merchandise, Lillian sings the National Anthem, JR thanks us for coming and peps us up (Note to JR - Oklahoma Fight Song is NOT the logical choice of entrance music in Nebraska, but I'm guessing you figured that out)...

SMACKDOWN!

PYRO (which is obnoxious when you're sitting right next to the stage) and The Alliance heads to the ring...Shane and Steph take a page from Stone Cold's book and berate everybody for losing titles. Long story short...Kidman gets beat up, Palumbo gets FIRED (for interfering in the festivities), Hurricane gets beat up, Rhyno gets suspended after a damn cool staredown where he looked ready to take on everybody, Steph orders an alliance beatdown on the Dudley's who drop to the floor and set up a table, but then Austin's music plays (to a HUGE pop...damn rednecks) Austin sends everybody out of the ring (by order, not force) except Shane, Steph, and Regal. Austin tells Steph to shut up (to another huge pop) and complains that he is gone ONE day, and the Alliance falls apart. He announces there will be an Alliance Battle Royale to determine who is going to win the WCW Title back from Y2J. Excellent "WHAT" chants with Austin working the crowd masterfully.

BOOKER T d ALLIANCE in BATTLE ROYALE - In the end, Test helped Booker T eliminate the Dudley's, RVD and Raven. Test was eliminated immediately after eliminating RVD with a quick blow from behind. Test walked up the ramp with the "Okay yeah fine...bastard" look.

TRISH STRATUS d MIGHTY MOLLY - A LOT of Molly tonight!

On the tron, Vince warns Jericho not to lose tonight. Then Vince says he's going to see the Rock and Jericho says "Tell him hello from the CHAMP!"

Foley greets Regal in his office and brings games. Christian arrives and asks Regal for a US Title match with Angle because he "heard what Angle said Monday" and he "is stuck in a hick town". Regal agrees.

STILL in the back, Vince pep talk to Rock is in motion with Rocky ending the conversation with a SMILE and a "You know Vince, The Rock is kind of embarrassed to admit this in public, but...well...The Rock could wipe a monkey's ass with what you think" (smiling all the way).

TAZZ runs NIDIA into the ground for intefering in his match with Maven. Al Snow shows up and runs TAZZ into the ground. The match is on! (But we already knew that didn't we)

KURT ANGLE d CHRISTIAN to retain US Title

Immediately, we see Austin venting to Booker T about Christian's match. Austin's new gimmick "Do you know what my watch is telling me? It's time for Booker T to become the six-time WCW champion!" (This was the second time in the night Austin used the "Do you know what my watch is telling me" line).

Y2J d BOOKER T - CLEAN FINISH! So is the WWF BURYING BOOKER T...or ELEVATING JERICHO! LET THE RUMORS FLY!

AL SNOW d TAZZ with NO Nidia interference (or in sight, for that matter...)

Backstage, Vince is informed that Shane wants a street fight in the parking lot. Vince is off. Linda sighs.

Vince is out back (and I think he's accompanied by somebody but it's hard to tell from a 13-inch monitor about 20 feet away from me...we can't see the Smackdown stage displays from our seats)...but where's Shane (or the easily predicted ambush)?

STEPH d LINDA McMAHON with a BITCH SLAP HEARD ROUND THE WORLD - Shane and Steph actually created the rouse so they could have a moment alone with Mom. To be fair, Mom bitch slapped Shane first.

Jericho visits the Rock and pep talks him into ALSO becoming a double-title holder by winning the "prestigious" hardcore title. Jericho is getting BIG time pompous.

Vince returns to Linda crying. An explaination later...Oh...Shane and Steph rode off in the limo.

DUDLEYS d HARDEE'S for Tag Team Titles (which ones did they hold?) (WCW? - CRZ) Stacey distracted Matt. I didn't totally see what was going on, but Lita looked like she was staring Matt down with a "I think I just busted you but I'm not sure" look to her...

RVD d ROCK to retain the Hardcore Title. Rock had RVD in Sharpshooter submission when Shane interfered (guess he came back?) Then Vince came down for the save, chasing Shane into the lower balcony (and out of our view), then Test came down, then Y2J came down, then Booker T came down, then RVD came down...no wait...He was IN the match to begin with! We got all the signature moves. Somewhere in there, Shane interferes a second time and RVD gets the pin. Y2J and Rock kick ass anyway and it's Rock's music when all is said and done.

Better than RAW, not NEARLY as good as Moline two weeks ago. GOOD NIGHT!
