One match was taped last Monday at the RAW taping (Yokozima v. Jim Powers) and has been described in detail elsewhere. Short description: zide zuplex, whip into corner, banzai zplash, zecond rope zitdown. Zomething different! Sean Mooney and Lord Alfred Hayes provided commentary and from his tone, Hayes seems to be pissed at this dramatic downsizing of his chances to provide commentary. The other exclusive was a match between *EL* Matador and Wild Bill Irwin. Irwin looked familiar, but I couldn't place him until I heard Hayes comment along the lines of "I've watched this young upstart Wild Bill before in Texas, specifically Dallas..." AHA! I said, he was one of those GWF guys I used to religiously watch. So, what's his story? Tryout? New addition? Jobber? Or superstar? The match was back and forth but ended up a showcase for el punch de el head (I owe whoever came up with that). Should I expect to ever see him again? And will it be with the same persona? Enough questions, I'm getting itchy for the Rumble Royale. If you're going, and some guy in a blazer walks up to you and hands you a toothpick, it's me. Oh yeah, and I'll have the "BRING BACK KATO" sign, and something praising Barry Horowitz. I'm also going to the San Jose taping, and try to come back with a good story.
