Hmmm, I guess you CAN book reality once in a while. Viewers of All-American Wrestling were also treated to a sizzling interview with WWF President Jack "Solomon" Tunney who talked about the protest filed against Lex Luger's entry into the Rumble Royale. Monday Night RAW, coming to you from the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York 20.12.93 (but taped 13.12) and broadcast on the USA Network. Vince, as Frank Gifford, hypes tonight's Tatanka/Ludvig B0rga matchup by reliving their first confrontation. Annoying Tatanka comments, he wants revenge. Your host is Vince McMahon. He introduces this week's cohost, Shawn Michaels. Jedoublef Jadoubleredoublet v. P. J. Walker - Jarrett's strut recalls Mo, for some reason. Amazingly, the commentators remember that Walker has pinned I.R.S. After fifteen minutes, Jarrett wins with a DDT. Amazingly, there's a 900 opinion poll set up. Should WWF President Jack Tunney allow Lex Luger to participate in the Rumble Royale? Is Tunney really that much of a puppet? Men on a Mission (Impossible) v. Dwayne Gill & Barry Hardy - "You can't dis-miss-Chris-miss!!!!!" MOM comes out in Santa hats. McMahon claims Gill & Hardy have had some success in the WWF. I must have missed it. Fortunately, we have a little bit of fun watching the mini-handicap match when Mabel wrestles both Gill and Hardy. Michaels promises that he and Diesel will not go at it in the Rumble Royale...read into that if you want. The finisher is a neckbreaker by Mo, followed by a splash off the second rope by Mabel, on Hardy. Todd Pettengill with *YOUR* Rumble Royale Report. It's Saturday, 22 January 1994 somewhere in Rhode Island. The main event is a WWF Title match, and a casket match, between WWF Champion Yokozuna and the Undertaker. It's going to be a classic!!! There's an IC Title match between Champion rRazor rRamon and Irwin R. Schyster, who's out for even more of Razor's gold. And, in the 30 man over the top rope free-for-all, the first nine names announced: Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Mabel, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Crush, Kamala?, Doink, and Scott Steiner. Annoying B0rga interview. Maybe this match is actually in our near future... Ludvig B0rga v. Tatanka, Part II - Vince points to the "nationalistic pride" in the crowd. In case you forgot, for the third time we get the "COMMENTATORS: VINCE McMAHON SHAWN MICHAELS" graphic. It's all Tatanka to start, chop, chop, head into the corner, out goes Borga, Tatanka follows, head to the post, back in, war dance, big chop, Borga is down. Man, this is exciting stuff, no? Bodyslam by Tatanka. Big elbow dropped. Tatanka with high cross body off the top rope, but only 2. Knife edge, chop, chop...finally Borga wakes up and the Indian is down. Borga with all sorts of illegal punches. Now, they're trading blows, but Borga gets the better of it. Borga whips Tatanka into the ropes and follows it up. But Tatanka is unfazed. Borga with powerslam for 2. Bodyslam by Borga, but he misses with the elbow. Tatanka bounces up. Clothesline does nothing. Another does nothing. Another one, and down he goes. As if on cue, out come Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna. Tatanka with powerslam, but no cover because he's distracted...ha ha ha. Tatanka goes up to the top but Fuji takes aim with the Japanese flag. Somehow, referee "Blind" Dave Hebner notices and calls for the bell. The Champ enters the ring, but Tatnka comes too and chops away. Finally, Borga wakes up and takes it to Tatanka. Who should come out but Lex Luger. He slams Yokozuna again. I guess this sets up all those Tatanka/Luger v. 'Zuna/Borga house matches. Tatanka by DQ. Replay of Luger slamming Yokozuna. Gee, I'm conviced now. Promos: ICOPRO (Tatanka), Electronic Hot Shot Basketball, Street Fighter 2 game carts Out comes Cap'n Lou, for the second week in a row. Maybe he'll actually do something this week. Adam Bomb v. Mark Thomas - Apparently, Albano has some words for Harvey Wippleman...I guess. Bomb wins with the Atom Smasher. Thurman "Sparkey" Plugg interview. Yeah, this guy's really a racer. I wonder who's car he borrowed. I wonder if they're going to spell it "Sparkey" like it actually says on the car. I bet they don't. Let us take you back to the Owen Hart interview, and Bret's response, which is "No way." The Rocket v. Mike Bell - Owen comes out to the High Energy music, in black tights and Hitman shades. Bell flubs a headscissors attempt, making it a DDT instead. Vince mentions that Bell resembles the Hitman....um, yeah. Hart wins with the Sharpshooter. Let's take a trip through the Undertaker's theme park. You have to wonder what that Kamala casket is doing there...Hey, what if Kamala won the Rumble Royale and the Undertaker won the belt? YEAH! What a WrestleMania main event THAT would be!!! The Undertaker is making the casket for the Champion...gee, it looks to me like he's making some wood shavings. The Head Shrinkers v. Phil Apollo & Jerry Seavy - Promos: Mortal Kombat carts, Electronic Talking Battleship ("Yeah!"), Dual Turbo wireless remote game pad thingees The Shrinkers win. Vince announces that next week's guest announcers will be WWF Tag Team Champions Les Quebecois. Next week: Highlights of the WWF Women's Championship, Razor Ramon in action, Lex Luger in action, Johnny Polo vs. Marty Jannetty (Shawn: "Who?") Merry Christmas!
