Razor Ramon turns face after refusing money from Money, Inc. DiBiase decides to challenge the 1-2-3 Kid in order to humiliate Ramon. Men on a Mission win their first match on RAW, and Gene Okerlund announces that a "Rest In Peace" match has been signed for SummerSlam between Giant Gonzales and the Undertaker. Bastion Booger wins a squash. The 1-2-3 Kid wins a squash, but has to leave through the crowd when DiBiase, Schyster, and Ramon surround the ring for different reasons. Finally, in one of the strangest moves we've ever seen on Monday Night RAW, Tiny Tim makes an appearance on the King's Court. WWF Monday Night RAW, coming to you 18.7.94 (but taped 1.7) from the Fernwood Resort in Bushkill, PA and broadcast on the USA Network. Your hosts are Jim Ross and Randy Savage. Tatanka bemoans the "fact" that Lex Luger has sold out to Ted DiBiase. Diesel v. Lex Luger for the Intercontinental Title - As usual, Diesel is accompanied to ringside by the Peace Symbol Kid, Shawn Michaels. But Luger is *not* accompanied by the Multimillion Dollar Man. Lockup, nothing. Repeat. Jim Ross reminds us that this match will be a different style from last week's title match. Lockup, into the ropes, no break, shoving match, out goes Luger after a big shove. Luger delivers a head to the gut on his way back in, and manages a 2 count. After a while, Diesel with a knee to the gut, and several elbows. Diesel with fists and elbows. Choke with the boot. Luger reverses a whip into a powerslam for 2. Luger continues with the hard right hands, and Diesel goes outside (landing on his feet). Michaels goes over to confer. Luger tries to headbutt the two of them, but Diesel takes his legs out from under him. They brawl on the outside, Luger getting the advantage. He throws him back in. Diesel manages to regain the upperhand when ducking out as Luger charges him. Luger goes over the top to the outside. Diesel goes out and gives him a few shots then goes back in. While referee "the late" Joey Morella argues with him, Michaels walks over and gives him a love tap. The camera pans up and out...and there's Ted DiBiase up in the rafters watching on. We take an ad break. When we come back, the camera is in the same spot, but DiBiase isn't. Diesel is having his way with the American Origianl. 2 count. He puts Luger's neck on the rope and steps on him. Then he does the jump and land on his back move. Cover for 2. Reverse chinlock by Diesel, then a knee in the back to make it look more painful. The "USA" chant brings Luger to a vertical base. Luger elbows out but Diesel delivers El Boot de El Head. 2 count for Diesel. Diesel with a whip...then a sleeper. Savage: "What a repetoire Diesel has! ...scientific moves like the sleeper!" Luger tries to get out, but Diesel lets him go...right into the turnbuckle. When he bounces back, Diesel RESUMES the sleeper, very neat. Arm falls once, arm falls twice, arm hears "USA," Luger gets up.Elboe, elbow, suplex by Luger. Luger with punch, and another, and another. Yep, another, and another, and another...oh good, a clothesline. Diesel misses the boot, and Luger hits a DDT. Only 2, though. Luger goes up to the second floor and delivers a clothesline. 1, 2, no. Luger whips him into the corner, and runs into a boot. Whip, reversed...right into Morella. Luger has Diesel in the Rack!! But Morella is out cold...man, he could be DEAD! (All right, I apologize.) Michaels goes in and delivers a superkick and down they go. Michaels revives Morella and Diesel is on top. 1, 2, no! Diesel and Luger trade blows...and out comes Razor Ramon. The chase is on between Michaels and Ramon. Finally, Michaels goes IN the ring. All four men take turns beating each other up. Luger is thrown out. Ramon takes out Diesel and turns to face Michaels, who stalls until Diesel can get him from behind. They take turns with Ramon until Luger comes back as Ramon is in a Michaels piledriver. Lost in all this is Morella's decision: double DQ. Ted DiBiase comes out, takes a look, and walks back. The commentators still don't know if Luger has sold out. Mabel v. Austin Steele - Promos: ICOPRO (Hart), GI Joe, Super Street Fighter 2 game carts Someone must have told Austin Steele he could do his Ric Flair, because he holds NOTHING back with his impersonation. In fact, Steele does a better Flair than Flair. I wonder if he'll take on Hogan next. Nothing is left out, except that no one can put Mabel in a figure four. Mabel's finisher is...well, let's call it a "modified sidewalk slam." Todd Pettengill with *your* SummerSlam Report, delivered to you by Domino's. It's Monday, 29 August (that's six weeks away). The main event is Undertaker vs. Undertaker. Leslie Nielsen has been hired to play detective...whatever. New match: Bret Hart v. Owen Hart in a steel cage. The cage isn't being used to keep the combatants IN, it's being used to keep the Hart family OUT. Savage predicts 1,684,362 Harts at SummerSlam. Just in case you were worried that a year would go by when you wouldn't see Bruce Hart at a WWF event, worry no more. WWF Summer Sizzler Tour dates. The King of Harts v. Reno Riggins - Sharpshooter Hype for next week's big matchup: Yokozuna vs. Adam Bomb. Also, Tatanka vs. Nikolai Volkoff. With any luck, we'll never see Bomb again. Spark[e]y Plugg v. George South - There's a pretty nice flying head scissors, I guess. Wins with a plancha (I think). Promos: Mortal Kombat game carts, Slim Jim (Savage), NBA Jam game carts Let's get a handle on this whole Undertaker situation. Let us take you back to the Rumble Royale, where the Undertaker does that supernatural thing. Endless stream of Undertaker sightnings. Flash forward to WWF Superstars, where Ted DiBiase produces the Undertaker. Flash to RAW two weeks ago where Paul Bearer and Ted DiBiase have a power play, and the money wins out. Paul Bearer interview muddies the waters. "Can the Undertaker possibly take on the Undertaker?" Ted DiBiase interview, ending in a promise that we'll see Bam Bam Bigelow next. SummerSlam cable promo. Bam Bam Bigelow v. Gary Sabaugh - The Corporation--is Lex Luger in it or not? Savage says he heard during the break that Luger was seen talking to DiBiase in the hall after his match. You know, if they really wanted to trick us into thinking this was live, they'd say something about Italy losing the World Cup. Instead they talk about the coach of the New York Rangers. Yawn. Anyway, Sabaugh fares as well as the Italia World Cup team. This Sunday, Ted DiBiase unveils his new All-American set, which I bet looks strangely like the old Prime Time set. Bigelow wins with a Milion Dollar Dream into a bulldog. The commentators interview Ted DiBiase, who won't come out and say whether Luger is signed or not. He will say that he has a big, big announcement that will rock the WWF. Cue Tatanka. Tatanka wants DiBiase to come out and say it now--that he's bought Lex Luger, and that Luger has sold out. DiBiase: "You're jealous that it isn't you that I offered the deal to! You're jealous that you couldn't, on your best day, BEAT Luger!" DiBiase goes on to bet $10,000 that Tatanka won't win his match with Volkoff. See you next week!
