Over on the duramax forum there isn't a ton of issues being reported. There are some though. Regen issues, thumping sound from the motor, and a few other smaller things. The fuel pumps don't appear to be an issue on the L5P motors. At least not in the sense the LML trucks were.

Map sensor is on top of the intake plenum, top of the engine. Lift pump is in the tank. If you have a cts3 or derringer check your lift pump pressure while driving. The frp sensor is underneath the passenger side cold air tube from the intercooler.The L5P is flat out a better built motor! Go do your research! The L5P has new heads on it that flow much better and a new fuel injection system but the main engine is mainly the same. Main and oil cooling were increased to deal with the extra power. Sure, you can now delete an L5P, BUT, you have to do the computer swaps (ECM / TCM). This delete option is costing many $6k - $7k. It is not a viable option.
