HAMR is doing well enough so far that I have not switched to other LMGs yet. I use Target-Finder, Grip, Laser-Sight. I might swap Grip out for Silencer. I also use Lightweight. Add a Guardian and some Betties and I can hole-up on some nice spots on some maps. On other non-LMG-friendly maps, I switch out to SMG/AR class.
LMGs are the heavy hitters of your arsenal. With large magazines, high damage and great penetration, they can used to cover an area extremely effectively. Consider LMGs to be the inverse of SMGs. While SMGs excel at close-range rapid assault, LMGs excel at locking down an area defensively.
